This page is used to add/edit the details of the chatbot

Form Fields

  • Category: Used to organize your AI Chatbots in categories.
  • Name: Used as the title for the chatbot that the user sees.
  • Internal Description: Explain what the chatbot is for so admin users understand what is it for.
  • System Instructions: These are instructions the user's prompt can't override which limits how the AI chat will function and respond to the user.
  • Model Tier: Select the AI Model to use for this chatbot. Note that each model have different pricing. For more information and pricing on each AI Model, view the Model Pricing page.
  • Crawl Sites: Allow this chatbot to use one or more web sites to generate responses by checking the box next to the preconfigured crawl sites. To setup new crawl sites, click on the manage crawl sites page.
  • Welcome Message: Set the text that appears in the initial chat interface.
  • Max Messages Per Session: To prevent very long, slow and expensive conversations with AI, you can ask the user to start a new conversation after this many messages.
  • Max Sessions Daily: To limit cost, you can restrict how many sessions this chatbot can have per day.
  • Daily Budget: To limit cost, you can restrict how much money this chatbot can use per day before it is automatically disabled. Your site's daily budget on site settings will also be used to determine if this chatbot can continue running.
  • Show Search Results: Yes shows each answer as a collapsible "AI Overview" (answers longer than 20 lines get a Read More button) with Google-style search results from the chatbot's Crawl Sites below the chat. The results use the search the AI planned for the visitor's question, show what was searched above the list, open pages in a new window and have fast page-by-page navigation. There is one set of results, and it changes with each new question. No (the default) keeps the standard chat.
  • Overview Label: Optional. The heading above the answer when Show Search Results is on. Leave blank to use "AI Overview".
  • Overview Read More: Only used when Show Search Results is on. Yes (the default) collapses an AI Overview longer than 20 lines and adds a Read More button. No always shows the whole AI Overview with no button.
  • Embed Padding (px): The space in pixels around the chatbot when it is embedded on another website. The default is 20. Use 0 for a custom skin that fills the whole frame.
  • Custom Skin: Input Placeholder: Optional. Text shown in the prompt box before the first reply. When a custom skin is used, it is cleared after the first reply. Leave blank for the default.
  • Custom Skin: Google Fonts URL: Optional. A stylesheet URL starting with https://fonts.googleapis.com/ for the fonts used by your skin CSS.
  • Custom Skin: CSS: Optional. CSS that restyles this chatbot when it is embedded. Saving publishes it immediately with no deployment. Leave blank to use the standard look. See Chatbot Skinning for the supported class names and variables.
  • Active: Yes allows the chatbot to accept user prompts, No disables it.
