Data Feeds
This page allows you to associate one or more MLS data feeds to the currently selected PeakIDX site.
The data status and contract status will be listed next to each data feed once you add it. If the data status is active, property searches will be working on your site.
When adding new data feeds, the PeakIDX will be notified and follow up regarding the activation of the new data feed. In some cases, a new data feed will require a contract and have a waiting period before it is available for use on your PeakIDX site. Please be on the lookout for email notifications from the PeakIDX team on any changes related to data status or contract status.
After adding a data feed, you can click the Admin dropdown menu (represented by a gear icon) next to a data feed and select one of the follow options:
- Edit - Manage the data feed. If the PeakIDX team has locked the feed, you will have to delete the feed and add a new feed to change which MLS you are using.
- Listing Filter - Options for remove search criteria & listings from your site.
- Delete - Remove the data feed from your site.
Note: changing the data feed configuration may cause existing saved searches to stop working and need to be recreated.
Remember to Set Agent / Office ID
After the data feed has been added and is active, you will be able to set the Agent and Office MLS ID for each user associated with the site. The Edit User Page will have the agent and office ID fields for each data field. This will allow any of your agent or office listings to be sorted to the top in relevant search results. You'll also be able to create saved searches the display only your agent or office listings.
Multiple Data Feeds
Your subscription payment plan must allow multiple data feeds to be able to add more than one feed. You can upgrade your payment plan at any time to support multiple data feeds.
If you add more than one MLS data feed to your PeakIDX site, some of the advanced search fields will be automatically disabled because each MLS has very different values for those fields. If a user were to search for fields that only each in each individual feed, they would see zero results and become frustrated. To avoid this, we automatically streamline the available search fields to ensure to fields that produce better search results.
Keep in mind that if you initially start your site with one data feed and then later switch to multiple data feeds, any saved searches may change how they work due to the reduced amount of search fields. You may want to review and update them for accuracy after adding new data feeds.
